Hypnobirthing at ICY:
Preparation for Labor and Delivery

Hypnobirthing is an excellent 5 week course to take as part of your prenatal health and wellness regime. Unlike yoga which focuses on the connection between you and your baby through gentle movements, breath work, relaxation and meditation, hypnobirthing focuses on the relationship between you, your partner and your baby. Yoga nurtures you during pregnancy; Hypnobirthing prepares you for the birthing experience.

The Hypnobirthing Advantage:

• Helps eliminate the fear-tension-pain syndrome before, during and after birthing
• Greatly reduces and often eliminates the need for chemical painkillers and drugs
• Aids in shortening the first phase of labor

• How to reduce the fear and tension that causes long labors and pain
• Deep relaxation and self-hypnosis techniques to use during labor and birth
• Prenatal parenting and bonding techniques
• Pregnancy nutrition
• Preparing birth preferences and understanding choices
• Birthing positions and natural ways to start labor
• Partner support techniques
